THE CRISTAL ROOM
In the heart of the magnificent first-floor lounges, the “Cristal Room Baccarat” is a genuine living space situated in the former dining room of Marie-Laure de Noailles. Philippe Starck chose to preserve its original design while giving it a necessary touch of modernism and daringness. Meals are served in an extremely sophisticated setting of plain bricks set in wood paneling and gilts. It is open from 8 am until 1 am for brunch, lunch, tea, dinner or light meal lovers.
Thierry Burlot, former chef and associate manager of the Armani restaurant, concocts refined dishes from the very simple to the highly sophisticated. The repertoire of dishes is small and changes every month according to the season and the possible delivery of fresh quality-products by independent producers.
The menu, from the main courses to the desserts, offers a subtle combination of tastes, with an emphasis on the quality and freshness of the ingredients.
The selection of desserts “Cuisine des fruits et sucres” and the tea time pastries including an original selection of teas and herbal teas, all meet the same exacting standards.
This extraordinary space is also available for private parties and is frequented by cosmopolitan people, worthy of the most splendid receptions given at the Hôtel de Marie-Laure de Noailles, to which modernity primarily means memory.
